Rachael and Tristan’s Arundel Wedding

Rachael and Tristan’s Arundel Wedding

Getting Ready

Rachael and her family stayed in a beautiful air b’n’b close by to the setting for the Arundel Wedding in neighbouring Anmering. Whilst the house was almost on the beach any dreams of doing bridal shots using the sea and beach as a back drop were soon lost due to the high winds that morning. It simply wasn’t worth messing up Rachael’s hair and the dress before heading off to the ceremony.

The house itself was very light and airy which made for some ideal shooting conditions, the rooms were spacious and the white clean aesthetic of the interior design was perfect for some high key wedding photography.

Arundel Wedding Ceremony

The Ceremony was held at Arundel Town Hall, which is an impressive venue, there are windows which adorning the entire length of the room and flood the ceremony with light Beautifully. Following the ceremony the guests were free to remain in the room or wander out in to the terrace with it’s vistas across Arundel.

The ceremony was the first time that I had seen Rachael and Tristan together and it was clear that Tristan was very excited and nervous, but he held it together very well and when he saw Rachael he was visibly giddy. It was wonderful to see such chemistry between them and I was hoping that this would last through out the couples photos later on, they did not disappoint!

Couples photos

After leaving the town hall we took a detour on our way to the venue to stop off at some ruins in Arundel. I suspect that a lot of Arundel weddings have passed through these ruins, they were small but made for a romantic and dramatic backdrop for the couples photos. In the main I maximised on Rachael and Tristan’s energy and loosely posed them then watched them having fun whilst snapping away, some of these are my favourite images.

The Venue

Rachael and Tristan chose to hold their reception at Tristan’s family home, which is a large enough estate to comfortably accommodate the wedding reception complete with marquee and catering. The weather held up, with a few tentative moments but it meant that all of the guests could remain outside for the entire reception.

Having the reception at the family home made this wedding feel even more comfortable, the guests were more at ease that at some weddings and the children were able to play freely, it really was a lovely atmosphere and one which I’m sure Rachael and Tristan’s had fully intended when planning their special day.

The Couple

Rachael and Tristan are a super fun couple who love to party and I adored the fact that they had “Praise You” by Fat Boy Slim as their first dance, harking back to the days when they first met and would spend time together in Brighton. Both Rachael and Tristan were instantly likeable as people and this was even more infectious when they were together. I wish them every happiness for the future and was very grateful that they chose me to tell their story.
