Amy and Tom’s Blue Pigeons Wedding, Kent, Near Sandwich
Amy and Tom were married at the Blue Pigeons not too far from Deal, so having had a hearty breakfast on Deal Pier, which I highly recommend! I was ready to photograph their day. It was a cold day but the festive Christmas spirit was in the air and the decorations at the venue left you in no doubt as to the time of year, this was the last wedding of their season and they were winding down for a well earned break.
Amy and Tom come from very different places, she enjoys horse riding and the finer things that life has to offer, while Tom is a Millwall supporter through and through and likes a good bit of banter and a pint with the lads. When you put this couple together though the chemistry was evident and it was easy for all to see how much they enjoyed just being around each other.
The Blue Pigeons was a great venue for this wedding, it was small but not lacking in any respects, the guests were treated to the rustic rooms and intimate nooks and crannies were they could retreat and relax taking a break to store up the energy for the rest of the celebrations to come.
Opposite the Blue Pigeons is a church whose grounds made for some great photos with the Tom and the boys. Being an avid Millwall supporter I asked him and his group to act natural for the photos, they ran around and reenacted a celebration from goal with Tom being the man of the match.
I really enjoyed the whole vibe of the wedding, the guests were warm and inviting and really endeared themselves to me, I can tell that Amy and Tom are rich people in terms of the company they keep and the genuine joy that their guests had for them and I wish them every happiness in their new lives together.
